In order to even begin dancing one must hear the music in a certain way, and Mr. Rojas make "ear training" an active part of his lessons. Such lessons become particularly important when learning how to distinguish dancing on1 and on2, of which the latter seems to be a challenge for some, because of how one hears the music. Sir Rojas has a method to get people over that hurdle and I appreciate it very much. At the same time he always finds way to connect with the students personally in the class and is very inviting. I’ve been a student at Arthur Murray for just under 2 months and I already know the basic step and some more complex moves in at least 8 different dances including: salsa, bachata, tango, waltz and foxtrot.
I’ve been to 2 other dance schools in the past few years and AM Coral Gables blows them away 100 times over.
To say the staff at AMCG is great would be a huge understatement. Their teaching methods are part of a renowned curriculum that gets proven results for any student regardless of their dance knowledge and comfort on the dance floor. And above all else, the instructors are excellent teachers.
