About

I started playing drums at 12 years old, but the passion was there as long as I could remember. At a very young age, I would pull out pots and pans at my grandparents house and bang on them. In the early 2000's while a student at Belmont University in Nashville. I took drum lessons from drummer Charlie Adams (drummer for Yanni). I have played with numerous artist and in bands. Currenlty I'm one of the in house drummers at Calvary Chapel Boca Raton

30 years later I want to help anyone who shares the same passion develop their skills. From beginner who who wants to learn the basics to any intermediate players wants to reach the next level.

I love teaching and helping others fufill their passions and gifts we each hold inside. If I can help somoene's spark devleop into a full flame, there is no better feeling of accomplishment.

My wife encourgaged me to teach lessons since drumming and music is a one of my passions.

Work with ages 12 and older.

I was playing on the worship team at my church and the guest worship pastor was very complimentary of my playing. It was a great team and we all jelled really well .  He could tell I have been playing a long time because of my use of what he called negative space. It was where I wasn't playing tons of fills and notes, but using lot of spaces and rest in the songs to let the song breathe. It was enrcourging to me to hear that. That's one of my goals in teaching is to be very encourgaing of how my students are progessing so they know from me they are improving.

Find someone you connect with on a personal level, but also has the expertise you are looking for in a teacher. If you find somoene has both those ingredients you hit the jackpot!
