About
I combine cutting edge voice science and acoustic vocal pedagogy with traditional voice training. I teach classical, musical theatre, and CCM vocal styles. I specialize in classical technique, belt, and rock belt. I am passionate about helping other people learn how to discover and develop their own personal voice.
I have nearly a decade of teaching experience in private studio and at the collegiate level. My primary performaning experience is in classical art song and opera. I received my BM from Drake University, and my MM and DMA from the University of Illinois. I am an active member of NATS and PAVA. I frequently guest-lecture on the topic of applying vocal acoustic pedagogy in the studio for both classical and contemporary singing styles.
I love working with other people and helping them discover the joy of singing. The human voice is an amazing and deeply personal instrument. I never underestimate what my students are capable of doing or comprehending.
