About
Welcome and thank you for your interest in Prestige Dance Academy (PDA). Now celebrating our 10th year, Prestige Dance Academy is committed to providing quality dance training. The teachers and staff are dedicated to making your experience at PDA an enjoyable one.
Our goal is to provide opportunities for parents and dancers to choose a recreational or competitive dance curriculum. We will provide a nurturing, encouraging, and professional environment. We will teach a solid dance foundation so that dancers can develop their strength, placement, and technique. As a result, dancers will be prepared to branch out to different dance styles and enter the professional dance community. Our teachers have extensive experience in their field of expertise and are all accomplished dancers. The skills and knowledge dancers gain from their training at PDA will develop them into well rounded dancers.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
We introduce the new student to the teacher and make sure that the teacher helps the student feel comfortable and at home. We ask the student if they have had prior dance experience so we know what area we need to assist them in. During the class the teacher spends special attention and time assisting the student.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a Dance Education Major from Florida International University and I am Dade County Public School Certified teacher. I have been teaching dance for the past 20 years.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
Yes we do have a standard pricing system. The more classes a student takes the more of a discount they will receive. We also offer Sibling discounts.
How did you get started teaching?
I was first a professional dancer and became a teacher after. I always had a passion for music and dance so I knew I had to be involved with it on a daily basis.
What types of students have you worked with?
All types of students. We work with beginner, intermediate and advanced students. We work with non-competitive and competitive dancers. We also work with students with learning disabilities.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.

What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Check the background of the teacher before you made a decision. Teachers should have proper training from reputable schools and universities.
