What is your typical process for working with a new student?
My process for working with new students is to get to know who the students are and havw the students get to know me and how I teach. I always take my time with the students depending on how fast or slow they learn.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am currently a college student where I formed and assisted in coaching a cheer/dance team and my skills in dance is well standard for me to be able to come and teach a class.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
My standard pricing system for in person sessions are $40.00 per class per hour plus a studio fee of $20.00. And my virtual sessions are $20.00 without the fee but I am always willing to talk about a comfortable price for anyone.
How did you get started teaching?
I started teaching dance throughout my four years in high school and by my senior year my dance teacher offered the position of assistant director and choreographer. And now I'm working in my first studio as a dance instructor.
What types of students have you worked with?
I have worked with kids from elementary school to high school students also students in non profit organizations. And I have worked with adults as well.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
My recent events I have taught a heels class and I have taught an afrobeats class for the community.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Know who the teachers are and have a parent or guardian know the teacher as well in advance.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
Any question that comes to mind because as a teacher we all would want to know what is on the students mind no matter what it is. If they just want to talk about what is upsetting them and what they want us to know .
