My favorite part of cooking with others is seeing how balancing our diets with more greens can heal the body of chronic diseases, like inflammation, diabetes, high BP and cholesterol. As a Dominican, I like to celebrate my cultural background in the kitchen. Playing with traditional recipes like habichuelas y sancochos while experimenting with spices and herbs to enrich foods with extra minerals and unique flavors. I love to use seasonal veggies, and in South Florida there's so much from which to choose!
