What is your typical process for working with a new student?
With a new voice student, I first like to gauge their skill level and experience, and get a feeling for their voice type and preferred genre. We begin with vocal exercises and warm-ups to demonstrate these elements in a healthy and simple way, and afterward we are able to discuss how to proceed with choosing and working on music they will enjoy and learn from.
