"This is not just a class, this is a mentorship. After teaching and working with children and teens for eight six years I have discovered the true lesson and understanding needed in this generation of artist: knowing their worth. Before one can truly become another character, an actor must know who they are as an individual. Students will gain the confidence of telling their own individual story so tht they can intern tell their stories honestly on-screen. I believe in empowering children and teens to discover their ingerent gifts, develop their artistic vision and voice, and own their value in the Film and Television industry." -- Jennifer
I thouroughly enjoy encourgaging my students to discover their gifts in the performing arts and gain confidence through their trianing. I have coached and mentored my students who have gone on to university and successfully pursue a career in this feild, which is incredibly rewarding for me. This is my life's passion.
When I was in high school, I took a screen-acting class to be able to learn more about what I wanted to do and be able to let go from the stress of school. By the end of it, I had learned so much more than I ever expected all because of my teacher, Ms. Jen. She opened my eyes to what being an actress was really like and how you should follow your dreams no matter what. She was also honest with us, which was very important to me. Every time I look back on my experience with Ms. Jen, I am always so glad I decided to take that screen-acting class and had gotten the opportunity to learn from such an inspiring woman.
I took classes in film and acting with Jennifer from the age of 11-13 in middle school. These classes really taught me how to put myself out there in a time when I needed help learning how to express myself. I can’t emphasize enough how helpful Jennifer’s classes were. She is a very easy person to learn from. In just one class it becomes very clear that her attitude is to help inspire as much growth in performers as possible. Thanks to her help, I will be studying Drama at NYU Tisch School of the Arts. With the help of her classes, I was able to become a better performer.
As a young actress working with Jennifer O’Grady was amazing! She really takes time to get to know her students and how she can help them achieve in the arts. She is very knowledgeable in the world of tv and film, she can really help make a good actor, performer, director and more!
