My name is David Rieme, and I am originally from France. I moved to Miami two years ago and currently compete for Barry University, which is ranked #1 in the nation in NCAA Division II tennis.

I started playing tennis when I was just 3 years old and immediately fell in love with the game. Over the years, I’ve had the privilege to compete on the international tennis circuit before continuing my career as a student-athlete at Barry. My best Universal Tennis Rating (UTR) was 13, and within college tennis I achieved a #30 national singles ranking in Division II as well as a #7 doubles ranking.

Alongside competing, I have developed strong coaching experience. Every summer, I work in Boston as a tennis instructor, where I teach players of all levels and ages. In addition, I’ve built a lot of independent coaching experience on my own, giving private lessons and helping players improve their game technically, tactically, and mentally.

depends on your needs, we can do basket and I will be able to give you many points to improve your game or we can do a lot of rally 😃

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

I am currently finishing my master in Finance, and Ive been teaching tennis since I'm 20 years old.

At my tennis club back in France, they needed new coaches and I just starting helping and enjoying it.

If a student is looking to hire a tennis coach, I’d recommend they focus on finding someone whose teaching style matches their learning needs and goals. It’s important to look beyond just playing ability—great coaches are great communicators. Ask about their experience with players at your level,

What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?

Am I playing for fun, fitness, competition, or skill development? Am I a beginner, intermediate, or advanced player? Weekly? Bi-weekly? Regularity impacts progress.
