Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I teach basic swing fundamentals. It's so important that a beginning golfer learns the proper grip, stance, set up, along with all the important aspects of a good golf swing.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I received my Class A PGA Professional status in 1990 and have been teaching all levels of golfers from beginners to advanced players.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
The price for one lesson is $75.00 approximately 45 minutes or a series of 5 lessons for $300.00.
How did you get started teaching?
My Dad got me interested in golf at age 10. After playing Jr., High School, and College golf competitively, I decided I wanted to make a living in the golf business. I've been teaching ever since.
What types of students have you worked with?
All types from beginners to advanced, children to seniors, handicapped veterans, anyone wanting to learn and improve their golf game.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
The Masters! After having been there in person several times to watch it personally, golf tournaments don't get any better than that.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Someone with an advanced knowledge of the golf swing combined with someone that keeps it simple and fun!
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
One of the big questions is how much is a student going to practice.
