JCR Health And Wellness Inc: Ballroom Dance Instructor
About
NDTA Professional member and Certified Ballroom Dance Instructor. I communicate promptly, unless I am in a teaching session. See member directory for my status as professional ballroom dance instructor:

My rates "include" my cost of $15.00 per hour to rent the floor in the studio. The studio provides a safe place, air conditioning, restroom facilities, free parking and access to music. This expense is an industry standard. Note: Using an organized studio eliminates issues that can otherwise negatively affect the best use of time and the learning experience.

Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
I accept credit card payments via 'Clovergo" portable card reader system. I also accept cash. I accept personal checks on the third session.
How did you get started teaching?
Friends that I danced with said I had a skill for teaching and they were able to advance their dancing with my guidance.
What types of students have you worked with?
All ages. Singles, couples, large and small groups. My home base is Star Ballroom in Pompano Beach Florida.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
My group classes on Sat night at Star Ballroom. I teach the group for Star and USA Dance before the social dance. I teach three Saturdays a month for a 45 minute lesson that is free with admission to the dance. I also do private dance hosting for new and experienced dancers. We go to dance venues from Miami to Delray and beyond.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Try different teachers who teach lesson- to- lesson or will do two or three paid lessons at a time.
Pick three pros and take one lesson from each. You will know who you learn from best.
Don't do a contract arrangement unless you know you are happy and learning and it fits your budget. It can be a big investment in the beginning but if you stick with it you will see how steps and patterns build and blend between the dances.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
Is the pro certified by an official Dance Association? i.e. NDTA
