What is your typical process for working with a new student?
Will begin by assessing the students skill level and experience. Explain our teaching philosophies and then set up a comprehensive plan to ensure satisfactory progress!
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have been teaching since 1997. I have worked with all levels of golfers from all walks of life. I have been a student of the game since I was 13 years old. I am a certified instructor, of the International Division of the Jim Colvert & Jim Ballard Golf School.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
Our lessons are $40.00 a half hour!
We also offer discounts to Veterans and Civil Service Personnel!
How did you get started teaching?
I started working in the golf business in 1985, where I was mentored by a golf instructor who taught me how to teach. I have been teaching ever since!
What types of students have you worked with?
Over the years I've worked with every kind of student imaginable.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
I gave a great clinic to a group of beginners and since then they've all returned for individual lessons!
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Make sure you can relate to the teacher!
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
Ask the professional what experience they have teaching peoples with different abilities. That way you'll be able to assess whether or not you and that teaching Professional are a good match.
