About
I've been teaching retirees for 13 years and specialize in helping people with back trouble. My academy is the Number One Junior Academy in North Central FL. We have won over 50 tournaments in the past 3 years. I also the Head Coach for the Boys' Golf Team for The Villages High School in 2019.
The best part of my job is the excitement created for the student when they see improvement in their golf game. A person's golf game can be overwhelming and can take over someone's emotions at times. So, when the game is good: life is good for the golfer!
I'm a PGA member, the VHS Boys' Golf Team coach and an authorized Stack & Tilt instructor. Every private lesson utilizes video and can be followed up by a Lesson Overview Video sent to the student thru email.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
A lesson usually begins with a discussion of the reason for the lesson and what the golfers goals are. Then, the client will hit shots and I'll video from a couple different angles. Then, we watch the videos from the computer so that the golfer can see what I see in order to know what is in need of improvement. I have stock video that I can use to illustrate what should be happening in the swing. We'll discuss corrections and possible drills etc. After the lesson, I'll put together a Lesson Overview Video with their swing and the sample swings to compare and my voice-over explaining our plan of action to correct the swing moving forward. At the end of the lesson, we discuss follow-up.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
My advice to anyone looking to hire a golf instructor is if the teacher tells you to KEEP YOUR HEAD DOWN, find another golf instructor. That advice is why so many people have spinal injuries. Your shoulders and hips must rotate during a golf swing and if your head stays down your neck isn't rotating (cervical spine) and you'll get injured eventually. A good golf swing should include a free rotation on the entire spine. Stack & Tilt instructors are taught how the spine works which includes flexion and extension of the spine throughout the swing. Keeping your head down is not part of that process.
