About

Harwood-Watson Dance Studios is first a classical ballet (non-competition) school with a basis in Voganova style taught by Director/Founder Eliza Harwood-Watson. Most other types of traditional and new dance are also offered including Jazz, Hip Hop, Tap, Modern, Contemporary, Lyrical, Musical Theater (incl. Singing/Dancing/Acting). HWDS hires professional staff and provides professional classrooms with proper floors, barres and mirrors. HWDS also provides an opportunity for young dancers to audition and be a part of a performing dance company for the dancers who want to perform several times per year besides the annual end-of-year Showcase. HWDS is the progression of a long line of ballet instuction in Orlando and its founders (including Kip Watson) established the original company Southern Ballet Theatre which grew into Orlando Ballet, Inc.

Dance is a healthy and fun activity that boosts a persons spirit. Ballet is just a beautiful art form to study and everyone needs some positive and beautiful elements to life. What I like is that I can help children and adults to enjoy learning dance in a healthy, safe and non-competitive environment while doing what I personally love to do!
