About

I am a trained vocalist that has twenty years’ experience performing on stage, in theatre productions as well as on worship teams.

I love working with children who have an interest in music. It is an important foundation that sets the tone for a basic understanding of music, academics and confidence!

I do not hold any licenses in the music field, however, my experience and passion for education, working with youth in establishing a love for music and the skills I have learned over time have allowed me to offer quality services in the way of basic music lessons for the future generation!

I enjoy seeing the confidence build in my students. The excitement they have when they know it is lesson day and hearing about how they practiced is what it is all about.

Cynthia was so fun! We tried out one lesson with her and my daughter is so excited to see her again. The lesson consisted of practicing breathing and understanding rhythm...cant wait to see whats next!

Frequently asked questions

I love to meet with the parents or guardians as well as the child for one initial meeting prior to starting the first lesson at a later date.

Establishing a comfort level and getting an understanding of the child's personality, learning style and skill level are important in formulating a lesson plan customized for the child.

Working with the parent/guardian, any preferences or special instructions are established prior to beginning the first lesson.

I did not major in music education in college, however, twenty years of experience ranging from theatre productions, national singing platforms as well as local events and worship teams have provided many opportunities to me where I have learned valuable skills that I bring to my students.

Lessons are 45 minutes in length. Price for each lesson is $30.00 and material and lesson plans are provided by teacher.

If specific songs are to be rehearsed for any purpose, additional fees will apply.

I began teaching in Wisconsin several years ago and my students were all referrals from current families.

I have been teaching on several platforms for a number of years, all for ages 10 and under.

All of my students have been young enough where this has been their introduction to a music class of any kind.

The conversations I have with parents are those that have a child who is a live musicbox at home and has interest in music but they need a boost of confidence and an understanding of the basics.

I have two daughters of my own, one of which is in kindergarten. She recently had her first "Daddy/Daughter Dance" at school. Seeing how she has blossomed into this young lady and the poise she carried going out on her first real "date" with her daddy melted my heart.

The advice I would give a student looking for a vocal teacher would be to find someone you connect with.

Comfortability is so important when working with children, especially in an environment where they are learning something new.

Learning music skills is a fun experience, it should be a time they look forward to. Find a teacher that you feel brings that joy along with their expertise.

Some things to think about prior to taking a first lesson are as follows:

* Am I commited to practicing?

* What do I want to learn?

* Do I have any goals I want to achieve?

And most important...

* How much FUN do I want to have?
