Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
First, I always like to have a discussion about player goals.
I want to learn about their golf game, what's going on the course, what do they want to improve or change.
I then like to have a player warm up in my hitting area where I can take some video of their swing to really see what is going on. Most people are visual learners and I find that video to be a great way to show a student what we are going to work on in the lesson.
I have a saying, I am the coach, but you are the player, I don't hit the ball for you so I have to treat every client individually.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have 25+ years of golf instruction experience with certifications from many golf associations.
I pride myself on being a golf coach, someone who can help guide my clients through learning how to play the game of golf better.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
My standard fee is $75 per 45 minutes indoors. $100 60 minutes outdoors + range or course fees.
I offer (5) lesson packages to clients for $350. (most popular) All packages have expiration dates.
I am very flexible in my pricing and I am willing to work with any budget.
How did you get started teaching?
I was a competitive athlete growing up and I have always enjoyed being coached by good coaches.
In high school I became very interested in playing golf and developed into a very good player.
After college, I became a member of the PGA and started to provide instruction to players at the golf course where I worked.
What types of students have you worked with?
If have worked with all levels for many years.
From new players to competitive professionals, I have worked with all skill levels.
I enjoy working with women a lot, I find many women to be great learners and they really want to learn.
I also like working with senior players that are looking for more distance, I am really good at getting more speed out of a golf swing.
I have had most of my player development success with juniors. Junior players are fun to coach because they have the time to take lessons and practice. When you coach juniors, you can really develop good players because they have no bad habits.
