Hi, my name is Adiya. I have been dancing for 12 years and I am trained in many styles. These styles include: Bollywood, Kathak, Semi-Classical, Street Jazz, Soca, and Hip Hop.
I dance at local events and often volunteer at assisted livings to share my culture and passion.
I've always had a passion for dancing. I love dancing because it gives me an outlet to express myself, relieves any stress or anxiety and it makes me feel like I am floating with the stars in the sky.
I often teach my little sister some of my favorite choreography and it opened up a newly found excitement for me to teach.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
When working with a new student, I take my time to introduce myself and set out a timeline with flexibility.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have been dancing for the past 12 years, during the past three years I was able to mentor new students and introduce them to new forms of dance.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
I usually charge $25 an hour per student. I will also make adjustments based on mielage for any travel over 20 miles.
How did you get started teaching?
I started teaching dance to new students at my dance academy.
What types of students have you worked with?
I have worked with beginner students whose age range from 4-12.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
The most recent events that I have danced at, were a wedding, a concert and at a festival all located in Orlando.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
I would suggest that the student have open communication and feel comfortable with their teacher. I would also encourage that the student keep a positive attitude and have fun.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
The students should question what their goals are and be able to communicate that with their instructor.
