Hilary, Sorry to trouble you with this. Would you consider going to this link, giving me a quick rating and putting in your testimonial from years back? If too busy, no worries! Thanks, Eric Eric has a gift for breaking down tennis strokes to the simplest terms which results in a fail-safe way to learn the game.

Eric combines a rare knowledge of world-class tennis strokes with a unique ability to communicate what he understands in simple terms.

Eric rocks! Real pro, patiently worked with our child on technique improvement. Provided recap videos with comments. Very satisfied and highly recommend!

What is your typical process for working with a new student?

In my initial session, I generally do a complete game review. This includes video analysis and an email follow up. The purpose is to help the student to identify what is working and what is not working and exactly how to fix it. No more mystery.

If it's someone in town as a tourist, I'll equip them with follow up information to take back home. If it's someone local, then I lay out a program that suits their schedule, budget and goals.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

Started playing this great game at age six!

At 12 years of age, I became a student of the game, and this continued obsessively for 30+ years. During this time, I studied all the greats, traveled throughout the U.S. and personally experimented with nearly every stance, grip, and set position. This has given me a unique level of understanding of the games of the best players in the world. It is common for people who start working with me to say, "Wow, nobody ever explained that to me before, and I've been taking lessons for years!"

I've coached for 13 years and have worked with beginners to top-ranked players, young and older alike.

What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?

If you are just looking for someone to feed you balls, I'm not your guy. The students for me are those who have a true desire to reach higher levels and who want to get their hands on the best information on how to do that. It's very important, especially for parents of tournament juniors, that the coach be highly knowledgable. Just practicing is not enough. It must be intelligent practice.
