King Tennis Academy
About
I teach with the goal of making the learning process as simple as possible. I have found over the years that people learn best from watching and doing. Too much information has proven to confuse and frustrate my students.
Working with different levels of students. Having fun while learning. Watching the improvements that happen over time. Very rewarding for me and the students.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
Depends on the level of play of the student. For beginners, we will cover the basics of all shots, starting with groundstrokes, moving to approach shots, volleys, overheads and serves. For higher level students, we will work more on footwork, balance and strategy.
Some students may want to focus on singles and others on doubles.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Have taught tennis my whole life. I am 58 years old and have raised three daughters that all played competitively at the NCAA Division 1 level. I have coached at the St Stephens Episcopol School where I was the Middle School Coach. I also taught the elementary school children at SSES. I am now only teaching private and/or group lessons. My experience is extensive. I am honored to have been inducted into my College's Hall of Fame for tennis.
