About
I have been an educator and private acting coach for over fourteen years. During that time, I have worked with children and adults of all ages. I believe private coaching builds confidence and reinforces the skills needed to present yourself positively on or off the stage. During private coaching, we can work on cold reading techniques, monologue selection and break-down, audition preparation, articulation, resonance, dialects, on-camera auditioning techniques, slating, combating nerves, etc. I work with each student to foster a safe and respectful environment in which you can work towards and achieve your goals.
I enjoy working one on one with students as it allows me to tailor lessons to each student’s individual needs.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
The first step would be for us to meet and discuss you or your child's goals. Then, I would begin by providing a short piece of text to work on, so that I can assess you/your child's current level of experience. Next steps would vary depending on your personal goals. For example, it could include monologue selection and preparation, scene study, or even vocal work depending on you or your child's needs. That's the beauty of private coaching...together we can tailor it to suit you!
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Staci is a graduate of the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill with a degree in Dramatic Arts. She has been teaching theatre and auditioning techniques for the past fourteen years and is the founder and Producing Artistic Director for Innovocative Theatre. Local directing credits in the Tampa Bay area include: BLITHE SPIRIT for Stageworks Theatre (Creative Loafing’s Best of the Bay, Critic’s Pick, 2016), KEELY AND DU (nominated for Outstanding Production by Theatre Tampa Bay, 2018 and Best Director in Creative Loafing’s Best of the Bay Awards, 2018), COLUMBINUS (Creative Loafing’s Best of the Bay, Critic’s Pick, 2019 and included in Broadway World’s Best Local Shows of 2019), A SHAYNA MAIDEL, UGLY LIES THE BONE, THANK YOU NOTES , PROOF, and the critically acclaimed DARK VANILLA JUNGLE.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
I typically charge $40 per hour if the student travels to my house for a lesson or $45 if I travel to your home or business.
How did you get started teaching?
After graduating, I began teaching at Raleigh Little Theatre's award winning year-round education program where I taught for eight years. In addition, I began teaching middle school Performing Arts at the presigious Duke School for Children where I shared my love of performance with over 200 eager middle school students. Over the years, I've taught and directed at many theatres in both North Carolina and most recently in the Tampa bay area.
What types of students have you worked with?
I have worked with students ranging in age from 5 to 90. All I ask is a willingness to learn, an open mind, and a courageous spirit.
