About
I see a revelution in the Arts. Would you like to go, learn, move, create, explore in a Godly enviroment. With a balance of tecnique/structure, and creativity, my curriculum is based off of the classical method of Checcetti, and meant to equip you in your art. I love seeing each student grow and blossom. I give you the structure, but also hands on action and the tools to make your own dance/choreography (to do it yourself).
In a longer set of classes, I will take on different focuses while teaching the classes, such as technic, strength, timing, creativity, choreography, and so on depending on the course. I can also work side by side with a student who has a specific goal. I also enjoy teaching adults how to move and have fun while getting fit/ learning that new skill. I am all about the detail and equipping my students, even in the workshops and choreography classes.
I have danced for about 8 solid years, once I made the decision to take dance seriously. I danced for 5 years on a pre-professional, Dance company (then Called Cavod Dance Company). I assistant taught and then taught ballet in two different studios while trainining to get certified in Checcetti (Classical Method of Ballet). I also substitute taught, and taught a variety of dance and took many genres of dance and theater. I am certified to present up to Grade II, including all of the primary (elemtary school grades) and beginner adults.
Besides the classical approach, I enjoy the choregraphy and skills gained in non-syllubus classes and am working on putting together more and more classes. I am excited about this opportunity to teach on more platforms as well. I see this becoming a global inicitive, as I incorprate online classes and TickTock "How Tos". (These will be tessers, compared to actual classes.)
I would be priveledged to come and give you a trial class and to set up a course with you, your friends or your class! This invititaion goes out to young and older (3+, and <100). No one is exempt from moving. I also look forward to gettting to work with those who will be serious about dance. I see a revelution in Hollywood. I want to see the Arts glorify the Lord!

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I establish the Vision and goals of the class.
I build from the foundation of posture, structure, then how to warm up at the barre (if ballet), what is needed to count with the music as we continue to dance, floor work and across the floor. Choregraphy is the next focuse. Then stegnth, and reputition. Flexibility is then emphisised and the needs are met for the student and the choreography. Creativity begins to blossom as we add more movements, creativity exercises, and choreography etc. About this time in a class, it is time to clean any recital peice and to profect what is learned by performing it (and teaching it, if possible).
I work a lot of techique at first in an uplifting and hands on way. Then I allow the student to get more creative as she/he masters the movement. This can be done over months or in a workshop, minutes.
