I have been coaching tennis since 1990 after playing D-1 college tennis for University of New Mexico in Albuquerque and University of Louisville on athletic scholarships. In 1990 IMG/Nick Bollettieri called me at

the club I was coaching and hired me over the phone because he was my junior coach in 1980 when he had given me a full scholarship to train with him. At IMG I wore many hats for over 17 years: I trained Maria Sharapova daily from 13 years old until she won Wimbledon. I was the personal coach to the top junior player in the world Yeu-Tzoo Wang from Taiwan. He turned pro at 17 because he made the finals of the US Open Juniors and had ran out of competition. I traveled with him for 5 years while he climbed to #69 on the ATP Tour Rankings by the age of 22. It was this year he played #1 ATP Andy Roddick on Center Court at Wimbledon. I was also the traveling coach for IMG’s best junior players in which one, Horia Tecau, became #1 in the world in doubles winning numerous Grand Slam Titles. I was IMG’s Public Relations Director for 5 years and traveled to many different countries educating their best coaches on how to implement the IMG/Bollettieri System. I became Tennis Director of the Adult Program where it grossed over a million dollars annual for the first time. I started my own full time boarding tennis school in Boca Raton, Florida and after 3 years I merged 30 of my full time students back into IMG Academies in Bradenton, Florida. After IMG, I was hired by the world’s leading tennis consultant to assist him in turning bankrupt clubs into profitability. I’ve worked with kids and adults alike and highly enjoy both. As a player in my younger days I was a Prince All American, KY High School State Singles Champ, #1 in South (9 states) with a top 25 national junior ranking. I’ve also been officially certified by the USPTA, USPTR, Spanish Tennis Federation, European Tennis Federation and the IMG Academy/Bollettieri Tennis Academy Certification.
