This is the place to be to begin your journey to the big screen! I loved the warm up exercises that get you comfortable for the lesson (I am such a shy individual especially when it comes to acting)!! Learning the terminology used in the field of acting was detailed so learning these while participating in individual and also group exercises gave me a great intro and idea of how fun being an actress/actor can really be. The feedback after each exercise helped me improve more and more as well. J Weeks is great at keeping the classes fun which also made it fun to learn! The intro class alone has me excited about showing the world just how great I can really be!

I am familiar with J Weeks Entertainment from a workshop that I attended last year. It was a workshop for girls ages 8-18 that I attended for my 12 year old daughter. I was so shocked to see man do a workshop at an event catered to young girls, but to my surprise it was such an awesome workshop. J Weeks performed a monologue that spoke specially to teen girls and even made the girls get on stage to do some improv. My daughter loved it an went on and on about it for days. I’m just so happy to see that they are offering acting classes and I can’t wait to sign my daughter up! Thanks for inspiring a young girl J Weeks Entertainment!!!!

I used to do some acting in high school and kind of wanted to get back out there to start it back up again. I just wanted to start with a few acting classes to see how things would go. So I contacted J Weeks Entertainment and I couldn’t be more excited. J was so helpful and he catered my lesson to exactly what I asked for. I can’t wait to do a second lesson!

What is your typical process for working with a new student?

My teaching style is taylored to the students. I make it a point to get as specific as possible with my students so that I can get the best performance out of them. More importantly I make it a fun experience where you don't even feel like you are acting but just being your natural self.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

BA-North Carolina Central University

MFA- Savannah College of Art & Design

What types of students have you worked with?

I have worked with students as young as 5 years old and adults in their 60s. I must admit that I have a soft spot for my youth students because at the end of the day the children truly are our future.

What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?

Be specific about your goals from the class and make sure that the teacher has your best interest at heart.
