I am eager to schedule a free consultation with you and/or your son or daughter in order to develop a personalized curriculum that addresses your (or their) unique goals and desires. My course is one that combines the disciplinary teachings of martial arts with an education centered around understanding rhythm and developing technique behind the drum kit.
I am a 1st degree black belt in Taekwondo, and have found that the disciplinary practices I’ve learned during my time as a martial artist have been extremely beneficial and even crucial to my own experience with the drums.
I also have experience in teaching martial arts to children between the ages of 3 and 15, and I have worked as a pre-school teacher for over a year. I love teaching, and ensuring that my lessons are both tons of fun, and very instructive.
While I specialize in teaching children and young adults, I also enjoy teaching adults of all ages. Regardless of your age or personality, I will tailor my lessons specifically for YOU and YOUR goals.
Together, we will understand the importance of short and long term goals, perseverance, (blank) and (blank), which will directly result in both a comprehensive education and a lot of fun!
The most important thing is that you both enjoy your education, and that it is valuable to you and your goals.
I personally guarantee that within your first lesson you will feel more confident, comfortable and controlled behind your drums. I believe that with passion and proper instruction, anything is possible. Not long ago I myself had issues with confidence and movement around my drums, and now I feel that I’m at my most comfortable when I’m playing. It brings me great joy and a tremendous amount of therapy to be able to get behind my drum set and simply play whatever is in my mind.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
We will begin with a FREE introductory meeting in order to get acquainted with each other, and to establish a great starting point in order for me to begin developing your personal course schedule.
You can expect our lessons to start off with a bang, while maintaining a realistic timeline for developing the areas that are most important to you first. I do this because I wish to make your education fun and educational, and to have a lasting impact on your future!
While we will be learning basic principles and understanding foundational concepts to the entire art of rhythm and percussion, we will NOT be going through the same old boring motions as many people do.
I would like for you to think of this course as not only an opportunity for learning m, but also as a series of fun and enriching activities!

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have been a drummer at heart ever since I can remember. There are old home videos somewhere of me around 2 years old playing the drums along with my father, who is also a drummer. At age 10, I received my first REAL drum set and began learning from my father and various drum books. I have since developed a true passion for playing, and have developed a generalized curriculum that has helped me to really hone in on my craft. This generalized curriculum has become the foundation of my instructional course, and will be the starting point from which we will develop YOUR personalized curriculum centered around your desires, preferred styles and goals!

I pride myself on being able to offer unique and valuable trainings at an affordable price. You can expect to pay no more than $35 per hour, depending on your personalized lesson plan.
How did you get started teaching?
I got started with teaching by first developing my passion for playing the drums. After a while, I came to realize that the best courses for learning to play the drums are all way too expensive! My goal is to offer the very best possible service at a price point that my students can be pleased with. I believe that after beginning this course with me, you will very quickly believe that it is very much worth the cost!
What types of students have you worked with?
I have worked primarily with younger students (ages 5-15), although I do have experience in working with students of all ages. I am comfortable and very eager to teach anybody with a passion for learning!
