I’ve been fortunate enough to take piano lessons with Carl - he has an incredible ear, a deep understanding of music theory and a very relatable teaching style. I’ve taken lessons from some other teachers before and sort of dreaded it - with Carl it’s the exact opposite - I can’t wait to get into the lesson and by the end of it, I wonder how the hour passed so quickly. Carl also helped me set up my mini home recording studio and it’s been an absolute hoot. Carl is a great guy and an outstanding teacher - two thumbs up!!!

Bottom line: Carl is a fantastic intuitive teacher and you'll learn how to play the piano quickly. You can go as deep as you want to in ANY genre of music & understanding of music and the piano. I grew up with standard classical training, always stuck playing the same sonatinas. My goal in my 50s was to be able to enjoy my piano - really play music and maybe play with my son. Carl's method has a unique trajectory into understanding music & the piano. BLEW MY MIND. When I first started lessons I got so excited I had multiple lessons per week. & I get up at 5am to go to work - full time not music. Now a year in, I'm playing with Fake Books, tried to play at my son's wedding! and I am SO ENJOYING THE PIANO. Carl is professionally classically university trained - legit - and fun to boot. I can't get enough. Trust me - the piano is SO much fun after lessons with Carl Testa.

Both of my kids have had Carl as a piano and voice teacher for two years and loved him. I could not say enough good things about Carl. He is fantastic!
