About
I'll start by saying I'm only 17 years old and I'm a senior in high school. I ask you to not count me out just yet because my work ethic and initiative exceed my age. I know that I love what I do with all my heart and that I am a hard worker. I do my job, I take care of my responsibilities and I do them to the best of my ability, always without fail. I don't give up easily and I work with others very well. I am professional while also lighthearted and I strive to provide an environment of safety and compassion. My goal is teaching lessons is your goal: if you want to improve or get ready for an event, prepare a solo, or just learn to dance for fun, I create the learning environment out of what you hope to achieve. I look forward to each lesson and I look forward to working with you.
I absolutely adore working with others in a learning environment and I've been dancing for 13 years since I was really young. Dance is a foundation part of life for me and it runs in my bones at this point; I want to be a part of the dance world for as long as I possibly can. I've always loved teaching and sharing what I know with others and dance instruction is the perfect way to do that; sharing what's been so important in my life to others in hopes it will leave an impact.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I like to meet with the prospective student and, if they're a minor, with their guardian (either in person or over Zoom/Google Meet) to establish a relationship, see if it's a good fit, and work out logistics. Once lessons begin I start with a simple evaluation, just to assess the skills of the student. If you would like to skip the evaluation for any reason I am happy to start instructing right away, though an evaluation is highly suggested just to create a starting place.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have danced for 13 years and was part of a dance company for 6 of those. I have recently started choreographing and teaching for school productions, in all (minor) age groups; I will start my fourth show in the fall of 2021 in the role of choreographer, so I am experienced both in teaching and in dance.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
Since I am new to private lessons my pricing is comparatively inexpensive, and it goes as follows:
$30/hour
$25 for 45 minutes
$20 for 30 minutes
How did you get started teaching?
I got started when a drama teacher in my school asked me to choreograph for a middle school show. In doing the show I absolutely fell in love with teaching and I cannot wait to teach again.
What types of students have you worked with?
I worked pretty much entirely with kids, most towards the middle school age at least in the dance instructing category. I've worked with kids much younger before outside of a dance environment and I would consider myself great with kids. I've also worked with teenagers before, many times, both out of the dance setting and in it.
