About this pro

Hello :) We train actors for the Film & Television industry here in Woodstock GA near the Cobb County line and Roswell. We train actors to follow their own inner and outer journey, to discover the hero within. We work with local agencies, casting directors as well as local filmmakers and writers in helping connect our actors with opportunities.

When we see actors becoming more creative, confident and connected it's where are biggest reward is! We teach a lot about gratitude and loyalty in addition to acting. In addition the craft itself is all about being innovative, having fun and learning how to be collaborative.

Blank Stage Acting Studios is an amazing place! They provide acting lessons that are fun and engaging. Brent, Lily, Anthony, Tony and all of the coaches get to know you as an individual. They take you from where you start and grow you into the kind of actor/actress that they know you can become. The individual attention that each person gets is a unique gift. You are not a number at Blank Stage, you are part of a family. We love our experience at Blank Stage and couldn't be happier. Our daughter glows from the inside out - she found her happy place where people believe in her as much as we do.

Between the collaboration and work ethic included inside Blank Stage's Studio, I always leave feeling stronger, more motivated and determined to succeed. Brent and Lilli strive to make every relationship meaningful and have such an amazing passion for investing into every student the knowledge needed to succeed. They are a blessing. I've grown, learned and felt more inspired here than I have any other studio I've been to.

I have grown leaps and bounds as an actress by taking Blank Stage Acting classes. I absolutely think Brent Brooks has got a great pulse on how to expand an actors horizons by teaching the mono myth, the hero's journey. I have an agent now and video demo reel thanks to Blank Stage...and 2018 is going to be an amazing year of classes and opportunity. I am so thankful to Blank Stage Acting Studios for changing my life!

What is your typical process for working with a new student?

We will sit down with each student and get to know their goals. A new actor may have prior experience. It's good to know these details to help guide the student to these goals, these kinds of characters. We take their studio headshot, introduce them to our team invite them to industry events.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

I have produced three independent films, I operate the industry event called Get Connected and I have worked with actors my entire life in directing features films, short films, new media and corporate projects. I have found working with actors is my passion. All of us are hero's in the making and it's my honor to help guide actor through the matrix.

Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.

We offer studio memberships, private coaching, taping services and headshots. Members of the studio can use our services in an all inclusive way.

How did you get started teaching?

I have always been teaching or directing. I started teaching the monomyth to a group of improv actors in the development of the Blank Stage Improv Players and before in 1998 a team of college students and I created the Comedy Response Unit.

What types of students have you worked with?

Angelica Hale who got second on America's Got Talent is a recent student! I work with several now who are booking on television, corporate videos, commercials and faith based broadcast.

Describe a recent event you are fond of.

Well our coming seven year Get Connected event is coming! The last event event featured an awesome panel of working industry professionals.

What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?

Don't overpay!!! We see to many niave parents and actors who see a billboard or hear a commercial for an over promised opportunity at thousands of dollars. These types of things can usher a new actor in for agents to fast. The professional actor needs to be groomed/ tested for the rigors of this often brutal industry.

What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?

I believe it's the relationships they will encounter. Everything in acting revolves around it. What is the culture like, how will I be recieved, is this the right fit. Here we don't believe in negative training. Some actors crave it.
