About
At Newly rebranded Brooks Studios, we merge the timeless structure of the monomyth with dynamic improv and acting techniques, crafting an unforgettable one on one lessons that ignite the imagination and hones storytelling skills to perfection.
For more than 12 years we've trained actors for the TV & Film Industry to follow their own inner and outer journey, and to discover the hero within. We work with local agencies, casting directors, and filmmakers to help connect our actors with opportunities. Currently, our classes are only remote so you can connect with us wherever you are.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
We will sit down with each student and get to know their goals. A new actor may have prior experience. It's good to know these details to help guide the student to these goals, these kinds of characters. We come up with a goal and set up a process to achieve it.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have helped produce independent films, and operated the industry event called Get Connected. I have worked with actors infront & behind the camera in short films, new media, and some feature films. I have found working with actors is my passion. All of us are hero's in the making and it's my honor to help guide actor through the matrix.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
We offer online classes, private coaching, and workshops. Pricing really depends on the option you are looking to obtain
How did you get started teaching?
I started by assisting my husband while producing shorts, and then at an acting studio in Atlanta. Then we opened our own studio and I went from assisting to having my own classes to teach.
What types of students have you worked with?
I have worked with several others who have booked roles on television, corporate videos, commercials and faith-based broadcast projects as well as in local plays.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
The Get Connected events we did were always a joy. Seeing so many creative minds, showcasing their work, and networking with ohers in the same circle.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Don't overpay!!! We see to many naive parents and actors who see a billboard or hear a commercial for an over-promised opportunity at thousands of dollars. These types of things can usher a new actor in for agents too fast. The professional actor needs to be groomed/ tested for the rigors of this often brutal industry.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
I believe it's the relationships they will encounter. Everything in acting revolves around it. What is the culture like, how will I be recieved, is this the right fit. Here we don't believe in negative training. Some actors crave it.
