About
I have over 16 years of dance experience. I started out with ballet, jazz, and modern. I then moved on to salsa, bachata, and merengue. I specialize in Pole Fitness and have recently added Zouk to my collection. I know how it feels to be a beginner and the patience that it takes to get to a more advanced level, so it is easy for me to connection with everyone. Everyone feels intimidated by something new so don’t be discouraged, we were all beginners at first. I can break down and explain in easy simple steps and correct any movements that need improvement. Dancing is my pride and joy as well as music so it has always come to me naturally. The best way to level up in dance is to practice with others! I have access to socials and other events locally and out of the country for you to attend to get real life experience and feel how different it is to connect with other dancers. You can follow me on Instagram@focusedonherjourney or you can reach me at four four three three six two two zero one five.
Music and dance are my entire life! They make me feel free and uplifted. I love meeting people with the same passion and as a true dancer I know that you will always be a student because there’s always more to learn!!!

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
Start out by discussing what type of dance they’re interested in learning(multiple is fine),what their current skill level is, what they would like to achieve, and the time frame that they would like to achieve it in(realistically). We would identify their strengths and weaknesses and set up a schedule for lessons and also a planner for their goals.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I was trained at ODCC for 10 years in ballet, jazz, tap, creative movements, and modern. I received extensive training by individual professionals for the last six years in salsa bachata and merengue, pole and zouk.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
I charge based on what you can afford. It’s supposed to be fun not expensive!!! I can do an hourly rate for less frequent students or a flat rate either weekly or per month for more frequent students.
How did you get started teaching?
I started teaching at the age of 18. Friends and colleagues were intrigued by my skills on the dance floor so they started offering lunches, drinks, and compensation in exchange for my knowledge and I’ve been doing it ever since!
