Paul La Duca Drum Lessons
About
Hi I'm Paul! I graduated from the Atlanta Institute of music and am a working muisician in the greater Atlanta area. I've been playing drums since I was around 3. I have experience teaching all ages. I look forward to hearing from you and helping your drumming goals come to life.
I love seeing a seeing a student's face light up when they learn something new and get excited about it and push themselves to where they are able to play something they couldn't walking into the lesson.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I try to find out what the students goals are, how serious they are (whether wanting to do professionally or just for fun), and what drummers/artists they enjoy listening to. This gives me an idea of what direction to be taking them in.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a certification from the Atlanta Institute of music where I graduated from the drum program. I also teach and gig professionally.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
Because I have education in the field my price is $40 an hour and $25 for 30 minutes. I can also do a 45 minute time slot for $35. If the price is keeping you hesitant, please reach out and we can work something out.
How did you get started teaching?
I started helping some fellow students while studying at the Atlanta Institute of music (AIMM). After graduating I worked at a school of rock where I gained experience teaching younger kids but I've taught all age levels.
What types of students have you worked with?
I've worked with students who have not picked up drumsticks before and I've worked with students who can play and read music already so the range is wide.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Find someone passionate about teaching such as myself. And find a teacher who will put you on the right path based on your needs and wants.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
I think they should think about the future and how far they would like to go with music. And ask themselves if they enjoy it. That's the most important part!
