Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I ask them how often they play. If they are beginners, we work on their hand-eye coordination first, which is highly important in tennis. Then, I teach them the foundation that they need to have in order to play the game.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I'm Division 1 college tennis player and a PTR certified coach. I have been playing and studying the game since I was 5. I have a lot to offer when it comes to tennis.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
Yes! It also all depends on the clients and their objectives.
How did you get started teaching?
A few years ago I was running a tennis camp in Chicago over the summer. I taught around 30 players (kids, teens, adults) daily and never stopped teaching since then. I love to transmit my knowledge of the game to the people who need it.
What types of students have you worked with?
Kids (5-11 years old).
High school players looking forward to playing college tennis (14-17 years old)
Division 2&3 college players (18-20 years old)
Adults (25-45 years old)
Adults (50 and up)
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
The ATP tour finals (professional tennis tournament consisting of the 8 best players of the year).
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Hire me! I'm a great choice.😁
I combine fun with intensity.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
I think it's very important to have a good relationship with your coach. I always love when my students talk to me about what they need to improve so I can focus more on that aspect. It's essential to communicate with the student.
