About
My main focus is to give confidence to the actor by helping them find connection to the character and to always maintain the joy in what they do. I have been an actor for over 20 years and come from a strong theater background, doing equity regional theater all over the country. I moved to Chicago to train in improv and became involved in the television and film industry and quickly worked to soak up as much knowledge as I can, booking commercials and co-star roles. I became a casting director, casting BG for TV and film and also casting leads in SAG commercials. I understand what it is like on both sides of the camera and that helps me work with the actors on both levels. I believe it is very important to be well rounded in the industry, work behind the scenes as well as in front of them to really understand all aspects of the field.
I love helping students find the confidence they need to really excel at auditioning. Knowing that the audition is the job, and being able to walk away from every audition feeling good about the work they did, is the key to being a healthy actor.
