I have developed my own style of teaching, suitable for all ages, using a mixture of classical European and traditional American teaching methods.
I have a Masters degree in classical piano (Kharkiv Conservatory in Ukraine).
currently have 30+ students 4-34 yo.
I enjoy helping students develop a deeper passion for various genres of music, elevating their understanding of musical concepts, and guiding them on their path of becoming serious musicians.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
First, assessing the current level of his / her prowess, then developing an optimal strategy for their growth as a musician while taking into account their personality, and learning style / pace.

Masters Degree in classical piano from Kharkiv Conservatory, Kharkiv, Ukraine. 20 years of teaching experience.

How did you get started teaching?
In 1995 I was accepted to the Ukraine Academy of Music as a piano teacher and accompanist for children’s choir.

American as well as international students (Russia, Ukraine, South Korea, Japan) —ranging from 4-34 years old.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
Our most recent annual piano recital, during which each of my students performed an individual piece for an audience of parents, families, and friends.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Trust professionals. Interpersonal chemistry is key for a healthy and fun learning experience.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
Students and parents should think about their end goals, and the amount of time they are able to invest into practicing their craft. This helps us form an individual plan that caters to every students needs.
