About

I have been teaching music lessons for over 40 years. Working with students to help them achieve their goals is the best reward a teacher can have. I studied at the American Conservatory of Music in Chicago as well as privately with several distinguished voice teachers in the Chicago area. Most recently I've been working with Mark Stingley, a well known vocalist and voice teacher. I have worked the last 20+ years as music director at churches in the Archdiocese of Chicago. In that capacity I have been privileged to work with all levels of singers.

I love teaching lessons to all ages. It gives me great pride and a very fulfilling feeling when a student, whether beginner or advanced, learns new things and improves. I especially love to see their excitement after they've accomplished something. The best part is it really never stops as each achievement leads to another learning opportunity and another achievement.

Mark S.

Randy is an incredible educator and I am so glad to be able to work with him! I would recommend him for any voice type or skill level. I could not recommend Randy more highly as I have always left my lessons feeling inspired, challenged to grow, and supported. He will build your skills, musicality, confidence, and knows how to adapt and push you to be the best singer you can be.

Frequently asked questions

I began by assessing where the student is vocally and what level they are. Depending on any previous experience, if there is any, I would proceed with the basics of technique and repertoire.
I've been singing for 50 years. I have been teaching voice for over 40 years. I have been studying voice since college and continue to study with a premier teacher and opera star Mark Stingley. Learning all I can about every type of voice and all genres of music.
I prefer an hour lesson as it gives us enough time to really talk technique and learn repertoire. My fee for an hour is $50.00
Talking about the production of sound and singing, basically technique.
I've worked with singers as young as 10 all the way up to older singers in their 60's.
