I have more than a decade of experience and training, on stage and behind the scenes, and bring that perspective to my teaching. Having worked extensively in new work and in improv, I know how to adapt text to show off the actor's skills and range. Coming from Chicago's storefront theater scene, I have an appreciation for honest acting that is meaningful for both audience and the artist. I have worked with actors of all ages and backgrounds to help them achieve their dreams!
I love helping actors overcome fears and habits that would hold them back, and discovering the unique characteristics that will make them stand out from the crowd. With dedication and practice, there is no limit to the growth that can happen within an actor.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
First, we would discuss the goals of the session - is there an audition coming up? are you preparing for a specific role? From there, I'd want to see where they're at in their preparation, and work from there.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a Bachelor of Science degree in Theatre / Acting from Illinois State University, and have been working as a professional actor in Chicago for the past ten years. In that time, I've worked on new plays, musicals, comedies, dramas, Shakespeare, and children's theater. I've also been on the other side of the audition table, as a Director, Producer, and Casting Associate.
