I have been part of jazz ensembles, metal/rock bands, orchestras, wedding bands, among many others, along with extensive experience on tour, writing and producing music, and studying music/audio academically. My 42-year-old school the Bloom School of Jazz has taught thousands of musicians from around the world. Amateurs to seasoned musicians have come here to up there game. I have my own teaching methods that are different that what is normally taught. I teach music as a language. I normally do a 30-minute evaluation to make sure that we are a good fit for each other. In the evaluation, I check out your theory knowledge, technique, ear and improvisation. My biggest enjoyment is to help students find the music that lurks within, and show them how to bring it out....
