They specialize in the study and performance of George Balanchine's repertory, a significant influence in 20th-century choreography. Under the leadership of Artistic Director Daniel Duell, a former principal dancer with the New York City Ballet and a direct student of Balanchine, Ballet Chicago ensures authentic stagings of Balanchine works while fostering personal growth among its students.
