During high school he danced with groups like Los Jovenes and Los Soneros Del Swing (2007), and Estilo (2008) directed by Zeke Ruvalcaba. After graduating high school, he got his first choreographing opportunity with the newly formed Gifted Souls which gave him the chance to travel and perform on stages all across the U.S. and Puerto Rico (2008-2016). During his years of G.S., Chris started teaching classes at the Dance Academy of Salsa and did choreography for friends in salsa scene like Brandon and Serena (Chicago) , Guajiro Dance Company (Dallas), and Gifted Souls Milwaukee's first routine. In 2010, he was asked to direct Aspira (2010-2014). He took the team to Miami, Milwaukee, and Washington D.C. and won the night show opportunity 3 times at the Chicago Salsa Congress.

Shortly after he started directing the modern latin dance team at DePaul called Ritmo Dembow (2011-2016). He started competing in 2014 with then partner in GS. and assistant in Aspira, Micaela Sabbi and together they place 2nd at the Milwaukee Salsa Open, and placed 3rd at the Midwest Salsa Open. Most recently Chris placed 2nd at the cubby bear pro competition with partner Joe Spencer, where he followed for the first time on stage. In March of 2015, at the age of 25, alongside Micaela and Vanessa Mendoza they started their own city wide teen group called SixSeven. This April the team will be expanding and starting an adult semi pro team and an adult pro team.
