My eclectic upbringing allows me to feel right at home at a jazz club or large festival stage. I’ve helped students of all ages achieve their goals and sound better on the drums. Together we will work to create your unique voice on the drums and discover vocabulary that fits your playing style; weather you would like chops or a stronger pocket, I have developed tools to reach your goals. Forrest is an extremely skilled musician with a natural sense of groove and intuition around the drum set. He can help you learn not only the technical aspects of playing the drum set but how to create a sense of groove, draw the listener in, and how to lead a band. One of the most beneficial things I learned from Forrest was the importance of embodied awareness while playing the drum set which creates a feeling of transcendence to musician and listener alike.

Working with Forrest was my first formal drum education I had. Prior to taking lesions with him I was aging for 13 years but once I started lessons my playing improved by a landslide. Forrest helped me understand the drums in a deeper level and how the drums play a roll in the bigger picture which is playing music.
