Mr. Glymph was charismatic in his teaching and devoted to making sure that you learn things the proper way. He was very knowledgable, he knew the styles and techniques that allowed you to become a great violinist. His knowledge and experience as a violinist, gave him the necessary tools to be able to demonstrate those same styles and bowing techniques and give examples himself on the violin. He made sure you understood the fundamentals in music theory and the structure of what you were working on, whether it was a concerto, an etude or a scales exercise. Lessons were interesting and he kept you motivated. During his lessons you knew that he not only cared about the material being taught but you knew he wanted you to succeed. Mr. Glymph was not only your teacher but he was your friend. Its been over 20 years since our first lesson together and I can honestly say that he has taught me so much about music, the art of violin playing as well as given my guidance, taught me structure and helped shape me in becoming the person I am today, Thank you Mr. G.

Clovis Bordeaux and I have been friends and business colleagues for over nine(9) years now. Mr. Bordeaux is no doubt highly rated as a professional Pianist both theoretical and practical in his special unique creative and talented abilities in reaching both his students and the general audience. I have personally been a music student of Mr. Bordeaux learning music theory and playing mainly the Flute,piano,and some drums. Also I was invited to the High School where he thought full time music to High School Students. It was a great inspiration to see how spirited and Dynamic he conducted these highly intricate renditions as his students performed flawlessly. There were many other musical events That I was privileged to attend and they still linger in my mind as a musical tapestry of Musical Joy. Joe is a marvelous teacher. He is a great performer too. We have seen him at the CSO! His work with both children and adults is terrific. He has a natural, fine, and perceptive way of working through difficulties and frustrations. Excellent at any level. "As a working professional adult woman at a point in my life when I decided to shift some focus more to my own interests and self-development, I decided to begin studying violin later in life - something I've wanted to do for a very long time.  Having no previous musical experience at all, Amy Foley was encouraging and supportive from the start -- teaching me important basic fundamentals such as instrument care, balance, movement, positioning, intonation, and how to read sheet music.  Amy has a wonderfully deep understanding of music theory and is clear and thorough in her explanations.  Her patient and positive demeanor made me feel good about the progress I was making; and when I seemed stuck at any point, she came up with creative and applicable suggestions and exercises to help me over any hurdles.  Studying violin has given me a greater appreciation for music as well -- I find myself listening to music differently, and the experience is now enhanced because I find myself noticing things which I learned during my lessons, e.g., how compositions come together to make the whole.
