Bruce A. Henry Voice Lessons
About
Greetings everyone! After a lifetime of making music around the world, I have returned to my childhood home of Chicago. Over the years, I have been blessed to have performed with Doc Severinsen, The Sounds of Blackness, Bobby McFerrin, Julius Hemphill, Buddy DeFranco, Terry Lewis & Jimmy Jam. I have opened for many global treasures, such as Roberta Flack, Natalie Cole and Stephan Grapelli and Gato Barbieri and Ramsey Lewis. Music has taken me to 5 continents and all over the U.S.
I have studied voice at the American Conservatory of Music, with renowned instructor Nancy Cox and continue to pursue a lifetime of self-study. I have taught voice for 3 decades at institutions such as McNally Smith College, The African American Cultural Center and the Metropolitan Cultural Arts Center of Minneapolis. In addition, I have taught clinics and workshops regionally and nationally at various churches, high schools, colleges and elementary schools. I love to share what I’ve learned and it is thrilling to watch my students grow. Whether you are afraid to sing or are a professional, these classes will be of benefit to you.
