About
I believe my service stands out because I am not only a Voice teacher. I am an Acting coach. More importantly, I was once someone who suffered from terrible stage fright. After bombing my first professional audition at age eleven, I made it my mission to beat my stage fright. Long story short, after nine years of classical voice training, along with Musical Theatre Conservatory training I did just that. I then went on to play more than fifty leading roles and Headlined with a thirteen piece Big Band. When I became a mom, I joined the Girl Scouts as a leader. In that role, I realized how many kids are dealing with the same things I did. I wanted to help them. I didn't want anyone to have to go through what I Went through. That's when I set out to create a program to not only teach people how to be incredible singers and actors, but to show them how to kick their stagefright to the curb! My program is not only powerful, it's can truly be life changing.
I love it when my students light up when They walk through the door. I love watching them grow and develop into confident performers! Most of all, I love that moment When they realize that they have so much more ability than they ever dreamed. Thats the real meat! It's why I do this. I get to change the world by Transforming people's lives! What could be more satisfying?

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
Once the student contacts me, we set up their free consultation. This gives us a chance to get to know each other. We talk about where they see themselves in the future, and we talk about how I am going to help them get there. Once they decide to work with me, we set up a scheduled time that works for them and then the fun begins!
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I received my training from the Conservatory of performing arts at Webster University as part of the Repertory Theater of St Louis,MO. I then went on to study Improvisation with Second City at Columbia College and had the opportunity to write and perform in a show called Comedy Cabaret with Second City along with Mike Stoyanof from the Sitcom Blossum as well as The Dark night and The Mentalist. I also have nine plus years of private classical voice training as well, I have performed in leading roles in more than fifty musical theatre productions and operettas, along with Headlining for a thirteen piece Big Band That performed all over the North shore and northwest territories. My knowledge and experience is what makes my teaching powerful. Because I've been where my students are, and I can not only train them, but I can help them navigate their next moves.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.

My pricing is the same for my private acting classes. I also do Audition prep for voice as well as acting. Audition prep is $75 an hour.
I do not charge more for combination lessons and the addition of accents/Dialects.
Discounts are available and can be discussed at the initial consult.
How did you get started teaching?
Having battled stage fright as a young girl and learning how to, not only, overcome it, but to flourish as a lead singer and get leading roles as well as a number of awards for my talents, I had a lot of people ask me if I taught or would I teach them. Once I became a mom and decided to settle into that role, I raised my daughters and taught them what I know, more and more people would ask me to help them or their children. I discovered that there is a void out there. I decided to fill it. My students have become confident, knowledgeable , talented performers. As for me? I am truly in love with what I do.
What types of students have you worked with?
I have worked with students From 6 all the way up to 92 years old. My clients have ranged from professional Singers and actors who are already in the business to kids who are just starting out. Teenagers, who need help getting into a Conservatory or A performing arts program in college. I've also worked with speakers and salespeople. People with stage fright, hold a special place in my heart. Watching them finally be able to flourish makes my heart sing! A student, however, doesn't need to have a problem, in order, to work with me. They must, however, have a desire to succeed.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Buyer Beware! You should honestly narrow down your search to three that speak to you and go talk to them. Don't be dazzled by awards or degrees. It does not guarantee that the teacher knows how to teach you to sing or act. Scary? Yes, I know. I've been there myself. Trust your instinct! That is, afterall, one of the things, a good performer, must cultivate. One's own natural instinct.
