About this pro

I am a young tennis professional with lots of energy and passion for tennis. I played four years of college tennis in VA, and some professional tournaments after. I have been taught by many top 100 ATP professionals and some of the best coaches in the world, I hope to bring their expertise to you. I take a technical approach to my lessons, I try to educate the student on why he/she should preform a certain movement, in order for that student to have a correct education in the game so they can continue to grow even without my presence. I also coach Golf in my spare time, a passion I have fueled for a game that I love. I am currently a USGA handicap and apply my teaching and my biomechanical knowledge to Gold

FAQs

What is your typical process for working with a new student?

I first take 10 minutes to guide the student through a warm up, not worrying about form, function, or anything. But getting to know one another. From there I begin to form my judgment for that player, yet before working on anything I make sure to ask the player their goals, their needs, and their expectations before we move forward.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

My experience comes from, well, exactly that, experience. I have coached and played at the highest levels, and I know what it takes to get better, and how to impart that knowledge on another. I am also currently working on my PTR certification

Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.

$45/hr standard private lesson;

$40 -Golf lesson.

How did you get started teaching?

I started coaching right out of college, it is something I am good at,  by also something I love to do. I love sharing my passions and enjoying my students' successes.

What types of students have you worked with?

I have worked with 4-5 year old beginners up to nationally ranked (top 50) juniors and even some nationally ranked adults. I love teaching beginning adults too, ithose are some of the most fun lessons I have ever had!

What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?

the student should have individual goals in mind, and have some knowledge of their own game. If a complete overhaul is required, the student must be willing to put in the time and effort!
