Sarita Smith Childs Dance

I am a 3Arts Chicago awardee for Choreography and Teaching, a Black Theatre Alliance Awardee for Performance and a Ruth Page Awardee for Dance Performance.

I train professional dance artists; pre-professional junior high to university students; and beginning adults who enjoy moving for the love of dance, fitness and health benefits.

I am currently an Instructor of Dance at Loyola University and a Visiting Assitant Professor of Dance at Northern Il University.

My former students are on the faculties of university dance departments, artisitc directors of Hip Hop companies, rehearsal assitants at major contemporary US dance companies, company members on Broadway and at European Ballet Companies.

I love training artists and lovers of movement practices.
