About

Hello there and thank you for reading on! My name is Miguel and I want to help make your Spanish language learning experience as enjoyable as possible while encouraging accurate learning of the language.

I'm a native Spanish speaker, my grammatical background is that of Castilian Spanish, the most widely spoken and written form of Spanish. My dialect is Ecuadorian and the closest form European Spanish of all Spanish speaking countries outside of Spain.

I have experience working at the elementary and middle school level. My previous hands on experience managing international ELL (ESL) volunteer teachers and programme handling in South America has given me the necessary experience to understand the needs of a student.

I'm an open minded individual, friendly, straight forward and willing to accommodate to your needs.

Often, learning is not a path we choose for ourselves, but an experience we build ourselves as we pick and choose those things that can adhere to our personality and needs. Your goals are my principal focus and to help you achieve them is my main goal. Allow me to work along with you towards that end. I hope to hear from you soon!

Frequently asked questions

In order to have a proper learning experience it is important for me to find their interest to be able to relate the learning experience to those things that the student is most familiar with. Most importantly, I like to first learn the sort of teaching approach that the student is most comfortable with, some students may find graphical, vocal or physical communication much easier to assimilate when it comes to learning.

Usually I charge a flat fee, on top of whatever processing fees the intermediary site you contact me thru charges.

I got involved with teaching thru non profit work, I found the experience rewarding, I enjoy helping people that truly want help.

Many, some are students that just need help with term papers, homework, an exam, others have been just looking to learn Spanish before they travel on vacation or when they are moving to anew country to get a head start in their learning experience.

I taught a family that wanted to learn Spanish together a few months  before they travelled overseas.

Be proactive about inquiring to any teacher about their knowledge in the particular area of tutoring you need help with. Your actual needs.

Students should be asking themselves if they are able to commit to a particular tutors style and chemistry when it comes to teaching. That is why it is important to begin with an honest insight as to what you already know and what you need to learn. That way both student and tutor don't spend time in vain trying to understand each other.
