About this pro

I am currently a working musician wanting to share my knowledge and experience with other musicians wanting to enter the industry. I love sharing my passion for music and hope to work with you in the future!

I have played drums for 10 years.

I have been gigging for 6 years.

I have been teaching for 4 years.

I have over 6000 followers on my Instagram where I post videos of me playing drums. (@Kabirdrums)

I am halfway done with my Bachelors Degree in Jazz Studies - Drumset.

I love seeing the sense of accomplishment in my students when they master a concept they once struggled with. There isn’t a more rewarding feeling in the world.

Kabir is very easy going. He will immediately catch on to where you skill level is at and run with you until you lock right in. Great teacher and even better listener! This man is the standard of modern day teaching.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?

I base my student’s curriculum on their personal interests. We start with a goal in mind and develop a way of achieving this goal, whether its through exercises or listening.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

I have been teaching Skype and in-person lessons for about two years.

I am currently working towards my Bachelor of Arts in Jazz Studies which will certify me to teach at the collegiate level.

Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.

$20 for 30 minutes

$30 for 45 minutes

$35 for 60 minutes

How did you get started teaching?

Because of student interest, through my drum videos I post, many people over the years have asked if I give lessons because they want to be able to play what I can play or learn my methods of learning. After giving a few lessons I began to realize I have a serious passion in educating and want take my educating to the next level. This is when I decided to earn a formal degree in the subject of interest.

What types of students have you worked with?

All ages, my youngest student was 9 years old and my oldest is turning 30.

I have worked with both male and female students.

I have worked with both beginners and advanced musicians.

What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?

Find a teacher whom you can relate with. A working musician is one of the best options because they are going through excactly what you want to go through.
