Our studio is entering our fifth year! Our teachers are well educated, passionate, and have many years of experience in dance and teaching dance. We are dedicated to continuing our education so we can provide the best dance education for our students. Our classes are fun and we truly enjoy getting to know each and every student! We're one big family at MLSD!

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
We introduce ourselves to the student, and the student to the rest of the class. We make sure they understand how class works, and give them a tour of the studio. We run class as usual, but making sure to ask the new student questions to make sure they are comfortable and confident, and paying special attention to evaluate the student.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
We have 2 ballet teachers who grew up training in ballet schools, and have over 5 years of teaching experience. We have one jazz/tap/moden/ballet instructor who has a BA in Dance, over 20 years of dance training, and over 5 years of teaching experience. Miss Laura has 28 years of dance experience, 15 years of teaching experience, and regular attends dance conventions and teaching seminars to continue her education.

How did you get started teaching?
I grew up dancing and assisting with dance classes. In high school I started choreographing and teaching and realized that's where my true passion was.
What types of students have you worked with?
Boys and girls ages 3-18 of various races and ethnicities. Some of my students have had disabilities such as Dyslexia, Down's Syndrome and Cerebral Palsy. I've also taught some adult dance classes.
