I am a WORKING Character Actor for 30+ years! I've produced a Music Video and 2 Film Shorts (1 won many awards on Festival Circuit and 1 currently in Post Production) with more personal projects in the works. Spent most my career as a Stage Actor...but last 12 years in the Indie Film Circuit. I only do Private Acting Coaching as it's a much more personal connection that I feel is really needed for a good trust factor as well as getting to the Nuggets within my clients much faster! I'm all about helping you HONE your Craft Skills & helping you dump your Unique things standing in your way of Working Progress. Which can be Twitches, Confidence, just plain acting ability...etc. I go by one name in the biz...BEKA. There is nothing more thrilling than passing on skills and knowledge that have been gleaned from other studies or in the growth of my own career. Paying it forward no matter how you do it, is what it is all about! I enjoy the smiles that comes from the confidence coaching instills! Any art or artistic endeavor benefits the soul greatly!

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I first do a phone consult to determine focus and needs. Depending on that need is how I base the first lesson. I like a pressure-free atmosphere and allow choices to be made by client within a structure we set up together. IF a coach and client are not on the same page from the beginning...it will never work to the client's advantage.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
A LIFETIME within my Craft...BEING a WORKING ACTOR and of course passing on that same life-work knowledge both from jobbing as well as from other lessons!

Teens to 65.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
I would definitely go with somene who is still working and not retired for one fact only....they are current with audition and hiring knowledge!
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
IF they are SERIOUS about either wanting to explore as a craft OR if they are serious about learining to further hone their craft. Private Coaching is much different than a class atmosphere. More person al one on one. It can also ease you into taking classes as well. and your WHY you want to take it really important. DEFINE YOUR WHY then proceed!
