Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
First lesson half price, and is treated as getting to know you session. Students are invited to share their needs and details of their artistic journey up to the point of our first meeting. I look forward to designing future sessions around their needs and levels of experience.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
-Trained at the American Music and Dramatic Academy (AMDA) in NY, NY; Received Associate's Degree
-Trained at Loyola in NO, LA: Received Bachelor of Music
-Trained at Roosevelt University in Chicago, IL; Recived Master of Fine Arts
-Trained at Julliard; Directing Shakespeare directing fellowship for Educators
-Trained at Michael Chekhov Studio Chicago

How did you get started teaching?
I started as a high school teacher in 2013. A job teaching a very prestigious, award winning high school team was opening up, and a friend suggested I get certified and apply. I was awarded the position, and it became the most rewarding work I have done. I LOVE sharing the knowlege and experience I have gained.
What types of students have you worked with?
Mostly high school and younger actors. These actors were mostly beginners and hobbyists. I have also coached adult actors of various levels.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
Homeschooling my daughter. Everyday I feel I am making a difference in our country's future.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
The most important thing is to fine someone who makes you feel comfortable, is supportive, and looks out for the students' needs first. THe next thing I would look for is someone who has a variety of training techniques under the belt, and does not steer you into a one size fits all training program.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
What are your goals, long and short term?
Why do you want coaching/lessons?
Ask what your coach specializes in, and see if this aligns with your personal goals.
