Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
We start by finding out what each student already knows about reading music, percussion technique, and music theory. Once we have the initial assessment done, we put each student on an individualized path to success; being sure to emphasize the student's goals along the way.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Both teachers at Backbeat Percussion Studios have master's degrees in music. They also have various certifications and professional affiliations that enhance the studio's ability to teach effectively to any student.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
Private lessons for ages 8 and up are $100/month for 4 30 minute lessons, and $200/month for 4 60 minute lessons. Biddy Beats, classes for children ages 4-8, are $50/month for the duration of the 14 week period, or $200 up front. Enrollment in Biddy Beats obligates the full payment of $200.
